Burn Ban effective Aug. 20, 2024
Travis County is currently under a burn ban. Please refer to the Travis County fire marshal webpage for more information: https://www.traviscountytx.gov/fire-marshal/burn-ban. What this means for camping is that all wood burning fires are prohibited. You are allowed to use our covered grills and designated fire ring in the campground, but only charcoal is allowed. You are also welcomed to bring your own charcoal or propane grill if it is elevated off the ground. Lastly, if you need to discard charcoal during your stay, please ensure the coals are completely put out.

About
Allen Park is a 10-acre park consisting of a limestone plateau covered by a Juniper and Oak woodland interspersed with small, semi-open grassland areas. It is mainly used for low density recreational activities such as picnicking and hiking. The park offers a natural setting with panoramic views of the city to the east. The neighborhood church uses the park annually for Easter sunrise services.
