Burn Ban effective Aug. 20, 2024
Travis County is currently under a burn ban. Please refer to the Travis County fire marshal webpage for more information: https://www.traviscountytx.gov/fire-marshal/burn-ban. What this means for camping is that all wood burning fires are prohibited. You are allowed to use our covered grills and designated fire ring in the campground, but only charcoal is allowed. You are also welcomed to bring your own charcoal or propane grill if it is elevated off the ground. Lastly, if you need to discard charcoal during your stay, please ensure the coals are completely put out.
Water Hazard
Due to overgrowth of the invasive plant hydrilla at Hippie Hollow Park, visitors are advised to take extreme caution. Swimmers and animals may become entangled in these plants, increasing the risk of drowning or injury. Other shoreline areas are free from hydrilla and should be visited instead when possible.
