Road To Beach Temporarily Closed to Vehicles
The road to the river shoreline in Reimers Ranch Park will be closed to vehicles due to the recent rain and potential for flash flooding. Visitors will not be able to drop off people and supplies at the beach. Pedestrians will be able to access the shoreline from the parking lot. We will reopen the Beach Road when conditions improve
Mountain Bike Trails Status
The mountain bike trails at Reimers Ranch Park are currently closed due to recent rain. They will reopen after they have thoroughly dried.

Burn Ban for Parks
TRAVIS COUNTY IS CURRENTLY UNDER A BURN BAN. Due to increased fire danger NO WOOD FIRES, GROUND FIRES, or CHARCOAL GRILLS are permitted. Only propane in above ground, covered grills are allowed at this time.

Reservations Not Taken at Reimers Ranch Park
Reimers Ranch Park does not take reservations. We are first come, first served. We are a large park and do not expect to fill up or reach capacity.
Tucked off of Low Water Crossing Road, Fritz Hughes Park is a serene place to play, picnic, and enjoy views of Lake Austin.

While the park provides access to the listed activities, Travis County Parks does not provide any equipment.
Amenities
There are no restrooms, electricity, or drinking water.
Zebra Mussels
Zebra Mussels have been found along the shoreline of our lake parks. Swimmers and others seeking water-based recreation should exercise caution when in or near the water.

We accept cash but do not accept credit or debit cards at the entrance booth.

About
Fritz Hughes Park is a small neighborhood park located below Mansfield Dam on Lake Austin. The 400-foot stretch of shoreline slopes upward to a wooded and grassy plateau used primarily for picnicking, fishing and basketball. Because of the narrow width of Lake Austin in this area, Fritz Hughes Park preserves much of the feel of the original steep-sloped Colorado River bottoms.
