Arkansas Bend Park

This peaceful 323-acre park lies on the north shore of Lake Travis near the community of Lago Vista and combines many of the best qualities of other Lake Travis parks. The park's two miles of shoreline offer opportunities for hiking, fishing, camping, picnicking, and lake access via two boat ramps and a courtesy dock. Several inviting, shaded picnic tables and a playground is situated along the point on a bluff above a gently sloping, rocky waterfront.

Pace Bend Park is in far western Travis County in the Hill Country of central Texas. With more than nine miles of shoreline along scenic Lake Travis, Pace Bend is one of the most popular areas in the Highland Lakes region, offering visitors a wide range of recreational opportunities. The west side of the park features high, limestone cliffs and numerous rocky coves with some of the most impressive views available of Lake Travis.

This pristine parkland, open space and reserve land in western Travis County with almost 3 miles of continuous frontage along the Pedernales River is the largest parkland acquisition in the history of Travis County. The Reimers Ranch parcel is already well known and well loved by many park users. The sizeable Central Texas rock-climbing community views Reimers Ranch as a destination with world-class rock climbing.

Day Pass
While camping reservations are full, seize the opportunity to experience the eclipse through our day-use option for individual vehicles.
Day pass reservations for the eclipse allow you to select between Arkansas Bend Park, Pace Bend Park, and Reimers Ranch Park. All other Travis County Parks will be open for first-come, first-serve entry but will be subject to capacity.
Park Day Use reservations open on Monday, March 11, 2024.
Please print and bring the confirmation email with you on Monday, April 8, 2024.

A Day Pass entry fee will be charged at the park entry booth on the day of your visit.
Only cash is accepted (no credit cards or checks).
Rules & Recommendations
- Reservations are for one (1) vehicle and up to eight (8) guests.
- Vehicle must fit in a standard parking spot.
- Each vehicle entering the park must have a reservation.
- Once the park’s capacity is met, the park will be closed.
- Selling a day use reservation to other people (scalping) may result in the cancellation of the reservation.
- Bring plenty of drinking water and snacks.
- Pets are not recommended for this event
- Pets must be on a leash, and cannot be left unattended.
Know Before You Go
Traffic
Please arrive as early as possible between 7:00 – 9:00 a.m., as traffic is expected to be extremely heavy.
Normal traffic routes may be disrupted, and alternative routes may be necessary. Plan to stay late to avoid post-eclipse traffic.
Local Services
Plan ahead the week prior to the event. Due to high demand, access to some supplies (water, food and snacks, gasoline, etc.) may be limited during the impact days. Some services and businesses may have limited hours on Monday, April 8, 2024.
Cellular Service
With the increased number of visitors to Travis County, cellular service may be impacted on the day of the event.
